When my client first came to me in August, she was frustrated because she was spending a lot of time and money on workout classes like yoga and barre, but she wasn’t getting the results she wanted. Her goal was to lose 15-20 lbs, tone up, and feel confident and happy in her own skin. She wanted to create a routine she could stick to.
She was struggling to get results on her own because she didn’t know what to do at the gym, so she would just do 12/3/30 on the treadmill. But that wasn’t working either. She wanted something that would take the mental stress out of it so she could walk into the gym and know exactly what to do. I created a custom workout program for her that included 3 strength training workouts a week, so she had a solid plan going to the gym. Now, she didn’t have to waste time thinking about what to do. I also included a weekly group class in her plan, since she enjoyed going to them.
My client had PCOS, a hormonal imbalance that affects many women. She also had insulin resistance, which is often related to PCOS. Both of these issues make it harder to lose weight. So, we took a deep dive into her nutrition on her 1:1 coaching calls. She wasn’t eating enough to support her goals and was struggling to hit her protein. She was also not eating enough healthy fats to rebalance her hormones. We went through her food journals extensively to see where she was falling short, and made a plan on how to improve.
During this time she was very busy with work, traveling, and social events, but she was still able to stick to her plan. Three months later, the proof is in the pudding. The photos show how much progress she made. This is the perfect example of body recomposition. She was able to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. This is an incredible transformation and I’m so proud of her! We are still working together to continue to make progress and reach new goals.
